The Woman Who Loved Jesse James by Cindi Myers Review

The Woman Who Loved Jesse James by Cindi Myers
$9.39 (4/20/2012)

Jesse James was said to be one of the kindest robbers in history and while much has been written about the man and the legend, only one person knew him better than anyone else - his wife and first cousin, Zee Mimms.

The Woman Who Loved Jesse James captured my attention from the very first sentence. I was amazed at the way the story flowed and was so expertly written. With lines like,  "And what is wrong with a little sin if it makes me feel more alive?" the spirit and sexual urgency of Zee Mimms springs forth from the pages and turns this book into a real page turner.

This is by far one of the best pieces of historical fiction I have ever read. Myers sticks closely to the details that are known of Jesse James and his family, while expertly weaving in the story of the woman behind the man.

I highly recommend this book to anyone that loves Jesse James, the wild west, romance, or historical fiction. You will not be disappointed with this book.

Reviewer was given a copy through NetGalley in exchange for the review.
