How to Read Kindle Books Without a Kindle
With the popularity of the Kindle Fire and other Kindles, it can be surprising to find someone who has not yet purchased one. But not owning a Kindle doesn't mean that free Kindle books or any Kindle books are off limits. In fact, Amazon makes it as easy as possible for anyone interested in reading ebooks to use the MOBI format for the Kindle.
Kindle for the PC
While Amazon would clearly prefer that its users spring for an actual Kindle, the price of the e-reader may keep some people from purchasing one. Those who are considering buying one, but have never experienced an e-reader might want to try it out first. The free Kindle application for the PC allows the reader to use any Windows compatible computer as their e-reader.
This feature is particularly nice for individuals who don't want to add another electronic gadget to their household, but want the convenience of reading Kindle books. One note of warning: This does not truly approximate the feeling of reading on a Kindle Touch or Kindle Fire. It seems a bit like reading a PDF file, but with the library all in one place. However, it does allow for some of the Kindle features, including bookmarking and word look up.
Kindle for Android
Any phone or tablet that uses the Android operating system is compatible with the Kindle application. Again, this is a free download that allows you to take Kindle books with you wherever you and your tablet or smartphone go. This application is very similar to a Kindle, assuming the phone or tablet has touch screen capabilites. Recent research shows that more readers are using their lunch hour to enjoy an ebook on their phone and Amazon's Kindle for the Android makes that easier.
Kindle for the iPod, iPad, and iPhone
The Kindle application for the iPad, iPod Touch, and iPhone makes your gadget much more useful. With the free download from Amazon, or the iTunes Store, an Apple device can be used to read books, newspapers and magazines with the same Whispersync technology featured on the Kindle. There's no need to ever lose your place or exit out of what your reading to clarify a definition. The application has many of the same functions as it does on a Kindle.
The simple reality is that an expensive, or even a cheap, e-reader is not a necessity for reading Kindle books. Amazon has a variety of free programs that make reading possible on just about any portable device.

Surface by Jody Morse and Jayme Morse Review
Surface (Siren's Lullaby #1) by Jody Morse and Jayme Morse
Felicia has had a hard life. Blamed by her mother for her sister's drowning, Felicia was kicked out of her home at an early age. Now a sophomore in high school, and living with her Gram, she has a normal teenage live and has even began to fall in love. All that changes though when she sees her sister - her sister that is supposed to be dead.
I was skeptical that I wouldn't like this book because I've never been a big fan of stories set around the sea. However, Jody and Jayme Morse blew me away with this story. I found myself immediately sucked and just like other books I've read by this amazing duo, I was shocked and saddened when it came to an abrupt end. I cannot wait for the next book. Honestly, even though I just finished the book, I really want to go back and read it again. If you love young adult books, paranormal romance or fantasy, you need to buy this book!

Lily Sanderson has a secret, and it's not
that she has a huge crush on gorgeous swimming god Brody Bennett, who
makes her heart beat flipper-fast. Unrequited love is hard enough when
you're a normal teenage girl, but when you're half human, half mermaid,
like Lily, there's no such thing as a simple crush.
Lily's mermaid identity is a secret that can't get out, since she's not just any mermaid—she's a Thalassinian princess. When Lily found out three years ago that her mother was actually a human, she finally realized why she didn't feel quite at home in Thalassinia, and she's been living on land and going to Seaview High School ever since, hoping to find where she truly belongs. Sure, land has its problems—like her obnoxious biker-boy neighbor, Quince Fletcher—but it has that one major perk: Brody. The problem is, mermaids aren't really the casual dating type—the instant they "bond," it's for life.
When Lily's attempt to win Brody's love leads to a tsunami-sized case of mistaken identity, she is in for a tidal wave of relationship drama, and she finds out, quick as a tailfin flick, that happily ever after never sails quite as smoothly as you planned.

Death by Chocolate by Sally Berneathy - KBOD
Death by Chocolate by Sally Berneathy
$2.99 (7/24/2012)
Lindsay Powell's only secret is the recipe for her chocolate chip cookies, but she is surrounded by neighbors with deadly secrets. Suddenly Lindsay finds herself battling poisoned chocolate, a dead man who doesn't seem very dead and a psycho stalker.
Her best friend and co-worker, Paula, dyes her blond hair brown, hides from everybody and insists on always having an emergency exit from any room. Secrets from Paula's past have come back to put lives in jeopardy.
Determined to help Paula and save her own life, Lindsay enlists the reluctant aid of another neighbor, Fred, an OCD computer nerd. In spite of his mundane existence, Fred possesses tidbits of knowledge about such things as hidden microphones, guns and the inside of maximum security prisons.
Lindsay needs more than a chocolate fix to survive all this chaos.
EXCERPT FROM CHAPTER 2:
"Are you in some kind of trouble?" I asked Paula. "Tell me. I'm your friend."
"You're the best friend I've ever had. You gave me a job and a place to live. I'll do anything you ask except tell you about my past."
"Well, we've made some progress. This is the first time you've admitted you have a past and didn't spring, fully grown, from the front seat of that rolling wreck you used to drive."
Paula bit her lip as if she regretted saying that much.
I pushed myself up from the sofa. "I want you to know I'm not mad at you," I said, "just because you're supposed to be my friend but you won't even tell me the intimate details of your sex life."
She relaxed enough to smile.
I crossed the room and unlocked the door, then turned back to say goodbye, not surprised Paula had followed me. She'd have that door triple locked before I was off the porch. "Time to touch up those blond roots," I said, just to let her know I'd noticed.
Paula blanched. "Do you think the police noticed?" The question came out in a desperate whisper, and I immediately regretted adding to her fears.
"Men can be pretty unobservant about stuff like that."
I left her house feeling like a jerk for the blond roots remark and like I ought to do something to help her, but clueless what that something might be.
I wasn't sure I could help myself. I took my time going back to my house. I wasn't in any hurry to deal with my almost-ex, the man that one part of me wanted gone and the other part wanted back. In a different way, I was every bit as terrified of him as Paula was of the abusive man, I was now positive, she'd known in her past.
I slapped the fender of Rick's SUV passed it, deliberately leaving fingerprints. He hated that.
I stepped up onto the porch and saw another problem. The stray cat was still there, lying on my door mat, creating a perfect border for the words Go Away! Obviously he couldn't read.
But neither could Rick who stood on that same mat last night and paid just as much attention to the message as the cat did.
"Go home," I ordered.
He stood and stretched, arching his back.
I opened the door...and he darted inside.
Yes, it was pretty obvious this cat was a male. He ignored me just like Rick did.
"What's that cat doing here?" Rick demanded as the feline curled up in my faded rose-colored recliner. He was a big cat, completely filling the seat. He gave a tiny, contented meow before settling down, completely at home.
Rick sprawled on my sofa, making himself as much at home as the cat. I'd been gone long enough for him to shower, blow dry his hair with my dryer, shave with my razor, and slip back into his khaki slacks and white Polo shirt that enhanced his tan. To top it all off, he was drinking from my favorite mug, the one that said "Life is uncertain. Eat chocolate now."
"Go home," I repeated.
"Yeah, cat, go home."
"I was talking to you. This is--" I looked at the regal creature in my chair-- "this is King Henry, my new cat. He's staying and you're going.”

Kindle Fire 2 Tablet Options Grow
It has been speculated for a few months now that a Kindle Fire 2 would hit the market. The latest rumors have even suggested an early August release date. However, the biggest news is that there may be at many at 6 different styles of the Kindle Fire 2 to choose from. The president of Staples recently let it slip that the company is looked at 5-6 SKU numbers. But, why so many? What is the point in offering so many options?
It is suspected that the Kindle Fire 2 tablets will come in different sizes, including a 10 inch model, and different storage sizes, such as 8GB and 16GB models. It is also suspected that there will be a remodeling of the 7 inch tablet that is already on the market.
With the latest news and rumors, do you think you'll upgrade your Kindle Fire? Personally, I'm sticking with the one I have. For me, there is no need for a 10 inch tablet. I want an ereader that has other features, not a tablet that also happens to have the Kindle app.

5 Fun Zombie Kindle Books: Guest Post by Joshua Cook
I was amazed at how detailed
Max Brooks was in his research into the undead. The Zombie
Survival Guide is an awesome look into what it would really take
to survive the zombie apocalypse – well, kinda. It has many flaws,
but as a whole, the Guide is a great starting point for any
survival discussion. It is also one hell of an entertaining read for
those of us truly obsessed with these rotting corpses.
Truth be told, I put both
the Max Brooks Zombie Survival Guide and Roger Ma’s The
Zombie Combat Manual on the same level. Where Brooks’ guide
focuses on the everyday needs of survival and minor defense fighting,
Roger Ma focuses his attention on the combat aspects of apocalypse
survival. I met Roger Ma at the 2011 ZomBcon convention in Seattle
and asked about him and Brooks collaborating in the future. He said
they had never talked about it, but maybe it is something to think
about. Fingers crossed on that one.
After creating one of the
best zombie apocalypse guides, Max Brooks tried his hand at fiction –
and it worked very well. World War Z tells the tales of those
that lived through the great zombie war through interviews and
eyewitness accounts. I have always found that a zombie story is
nothing without good survivor stories.
Like any anthology, The
New Dead is chock full of good and bad stories. What drew me to
this one were good inclusions from Max Brooks and Jonathan Maberry.
X Factor Zombie Massacre is a short story about a zombie
outbreak during tryouts for the British television show X Factor.
I have a huge love for all things pop culture, so the X Factor
association was fun for me. The zombie side loved the way Mr. King
described the gore and kept his tongue-in-cheek humor throughout.

AiZ: Alice in Zombieland by Joshua Cook - KBOD
AiZ: Alice in Zombieland by Joshua Cook
$2.99 (7/21/2012)
'AiZ: Alice in Zombieland' takes place in a world that is much like our own. The sky and water are blue just as the grass is green. Every day, people are going about their business, most just trying to make ends meet. Politicians still get on the television and lie to cameras and the good people of the world.
This world has one stark difference from our own – the living, and talking, dead. This is not an apocalyptic scene of destruction and despair (yet!), but hope for the living is dwindling with every waking moment.
William Lohman, a recently deceased man, held an interview that was seen by the entire world. In this interview, he told of how the largest pharmaceutical company in the world, Roslun Global, has been conducting secret experiments meant to revive the dead, among other atrocities. Mr. Lohman was taken quite seriously seeing as how he was obviously one of these experiments, what with the decay and all.
This interview knocked over the first domino in a long series of setbacks for Roslun Global, and the company’s greedy CEO Richard Roslun. Richard was not known for being subtle or calm, but he was known for getting results…at any cost.
Nine years has passed since that historic interview changed the world forever. People have learned to live with the idea of zombies, much the same way they learn to live with many modern diseases; it’s a terrible thing, but it doesn’t affect them. Until it does, that is.
Georgia ‘Gee’ Marie is a typical college student. She enjoys reading and hanging out with her friends, smoking a little weed and going to work. Her life is pretty mundane, until she returns one day to visit her father. Gee finds her younger sister being attacked by her mother, who has just finished feasting on the rest of the family. Gee and Alice are about to begin the greatest trials of their lives. Not only will their will to survive be tested, but the bonds that hold them together as family and loved ones will be pushed to their limits.
Gee and Alice are not the only ones to be affected by the terrible actions of Richard Roslun. Sam Ashe and his fiancée, Heather Young, have just moved to a nice neighborhood in Seattle. Their new neighborhood is beautifully manicured, right down to the last tree lining the street. This area was chosen for its aesthetics, but also for its safety. According to several of Sam’s favorite zombie reporting sites, a very low number of incidents have been reported here.
This is why Sam is caught off guard one night after an intense gaming session when he sees a shambling zombie. Thinking of his love, he heads off to save Heather from the inevitable zombie outbreak about to occur. Their path is not an easy one, and again, human emotions will be stretched to the limit. If you have ever been in love, and I mean true love, then Sam and Heather’s tale will grab you by the heartstrings and never let go.

Thinking of his love, he heads off to save Heather from the inevitable zombie outbreak about to occur. Their path is not an easy one, and again, human emotions will be stretched to the limit. Kindle Fire 2 Launch Date Rumors and More
There
are a lot of rumors from unnamed sources hitting the internet about a
possible Kindle Fire 2. There's even the claim that the factory
making the second generation Kindle Fire has it nearing completion,
but the company that could lay the rumors to rest, Amazon, has
remained quiet about the new tablet. The company has yet to confirm
that the Kindle Fire 2 even exists, much less that it will launch on
August 7.
But
that hasn't kept tech websites and other organizations from
speculating on everything from the screen size to what Amazon hopes
to accomplish with the new Kindle.
ZDnet
and Network
World both quote a report by the China
Times that manufacturer Qanta will be ready to ship as many as 2
million of the second-generation tablets beginning August 7. They
even claim that Amazon will make the official announcement regarding
the new Kindle Fire 2 on July 31.
Speculation
about the new device has been rampant. Claims indicated the screen
for the new ereader could be anywhere from 7 to 10 inches. Others
argue that Amazon's announcement last week of the development of its
GameCircle was a precursor to the launch of the Kindle Fire 2.
Though
the speculation about the new Kindle Fire 2 remains just that at this
time, there are many people banking on the idea that the new tablet
models will further boost sales for the Fire. Techradar.com
quotes industry analysts as predicting Amazon will sell 14.9 million
units in 2012, an increase from the previously predicted 12 million,
based largely on the existence of a new model or models.
One
of the prevalent rumors is that the Kindle Fire 2 is everything that
Amazon hoped to have in the first Kindle Fire, but couldn't get
together in time for the original release date. Rumors include a
quad-core Tegra processor that would make the second generation 500%
faster than the first generation, the larger screen and better
handheld gaming functions. However, analysts warn that if the rumors
about the Tegra processor are correct, the second generation Kindle
Fire may also come with a hefty price increase.

Interview With the Holy Ghost Writer: Author of The Sultan of Monte Cristo
When did you begin writing?
I began writing two decades ago as a way to express my personal life experiences and as an outlet for my creative energies. I actually wrote the beginnings of an adventure similar to the Davinci Code back then for which an acquaintance published 1000 paperbacks of it in Europe. It is even possible that Dan Brown got the inspiration for his book if he stumbled upon it. I put my writing on hold due to my real life adventures consuming my time, but found myself back at this task in 2010 after reading the Count of Monte Cristo for the first time.
What genres do you write?
Excessive creativity demands fiction as my preference. This genre allows me the flexibility to layer plotlines and build rich characters to engage my readers.
Who do you imagine you're telling a story to as you write?
With The Sultan of Monte Cristo, I primarily aimed at satisfying the die-hard fans (myself included) of the original literary work, The Count of Monte Cristo. That novel left its' readers thirsting for more, and so I wanted to quench that uncanny thirst. Yet this sequel seems to have surpassed that initial target audience. I've received accolades from people that have not read The Count of Monte Cristo. So needless to say, I'm quite pleased with that unintentional feat.
What is your latest book about?
The Sultan of Monte Cristo is the first official sequel to The Count of Monte Cristo. It documents the past journies of Edmond Dantes through the eyes of Alexandre Dumas. Alexandre Dumas, the author of the classic now appears in his own story as an investigative reporter in the 1840's. As many know, that story originated with the drama of a man unnecessarily imprisoned to emerge year later unrecognized, only to stealthily take revenge using knowledge of a hidden treasure, provided by the elderly, long-bearded prisoner to the Count of Monte Cristo, but now Dumas is documenting and publishing these accounts after they occur, which comes together in this sequel as the book, the Count of Monte Cristo. This first sequel is a bit more risqué than the classic. Subsequent books in this series will show (as Milton penned) that no matter how sweet revenge is at first, it will err long recoil on its victor.
Which authors inspire you?
I would have to say, Alexandre Dumas... as I feel I have that same literary spirit flowing through my veins.
What's your favorite book?
The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas is my favorite perhaps due to similarities between Edmond Dantes and my own life story.
Why did you choose independent publishing?
Honestly? Independent publishing allows me to reach a greater number of readers in a faster amount of time. Yes, it takes a bit more work, but it can pay off in the end 10 fold. Times are changing and technological advances are making traditional publishing archaic. Most people are not aware that the Count of Monte Cristo was written in a series before becoming a giant book, and I’m certain if Dumas were living in our time he would be on the same path.
What one piece of advice would you offer other indie authors?
Authors usually have a spark or small fire within them. I call it a burning desire to creatively express one’s self through writing. Feed that fire. Be persistent and focused and never, ever give up. Never let that dream die. Keep the vision in your mind and no matter what, never sway or falter. Know that you can do anything you set your mind to do. It is only those, who hold on to their vision that succeed and see the fruits of their labor.
Also, as you know the Holy Ghost Writer is part of the book and will reveal his/her true identity in one of the forthcoming books. Clues are given in each book. A grand prize will be given to the first person that can guess (from the clues planted through the series) the real identity of the Holy Ghost Writer before he/she reveals his/her identity through interaction with the characters in the final books.

THE ADVENTURES OF SHERLOCK HOLMES collects the first twelve of these tales—including “A Scandal in Bohemia” (which introduces Irene Adler), “The Red-Headed League,” “The Five Orange Pips,” and “The Speckled Band”—some of the greatest stories in the Sherlock Holmes canon.
Great Expectations by Charles Dickens
This edition of GREAT EXPECTATIONS Includes:
• More than 30 b&w and color illustrations, at full size
• The original ending, included as an addendum at the end of the book
• Author biography
• Introduction
GREAT EXPECTATIONS is Charles Dickens’s beloved, autobiographical tale of a poor boy haunted by a dark secret and harboring grand hopes for his future as a gentleman. Pip, the story’s narrator, takes us through his early life—from his brush with an escaped convict on the marshes of southeast England to his exposure to genteel society through the warped old Miss Havisham and her icy protégé, the alluring young Estella. Apprenticed to the blacksmith, the tender-hearted Joe, Pip’s fortunes change dramatically thanks to a mysterious benefactor, and he must figure out what is real and what is false as he navigates his new world, while never quite escaping his old. Considered by many to be Dickens’s greatest work, GREAT EXPECTATIONS will transport you, move you, and stay with you forever.
Beautifully yet simply formatted, carefully edited, and featuring more than 30 illustrations from the artists who realized the first serialized chapters and many of the early book editions of GREAT EXPECTATIONS, this is the definitive digital version of the Dickens classic.
Includes a short biography of Charles Dickens and an addendum of his originally conceived ending.
Robinson Crusoe by Daniel Defoe
• Includes 28 beautiful color plates by N.C. Wyeth, Elenore Plaisted Abbott, and others.
• Includes another 17 black-and-white illustrations by artists from editions published from the 18th to the early 20th century.
• Also features an introduction and author bio.
Considered by many to be the first true English novel, ROBINSON CRUSOE is the original castaway story—one man shipwrecked on a desert island with little but his wits and the available resources to sustain him. Written in 1719 by Daniel Defoe and based in part on the true-life accounts of actual marooned sailors of his day, the book was an immediate success and spawned a new form of storytelling.

The Sultan of Monte Cristo: First Sequel to the Count of Monte Cristo by Holy Ghost Writer
$1.99 (7/19/2012)
It felt sad. It was like saying, 'goodbye' to a dear friend when reading the last words, 'hope and wait', of the 1200+ page book, The Count of Monte Cristo.
Did the reader hope and wait to learn what became of Edmond Dantes, Haydee, Mercedes, the Morels, the Danglars or the Villeforts after putting down the book?
One's thoughts need not wander longer, as the Sultan of Monte Cristo unfolds this foresight in the same spirit of Alexandre Dumas. That spirit creates in its readers a hunger and thirst to read.
We are in the 1840's when Dumas becomes an investigative reporter in this first sequel and he publishes his book as a part of the story, 'The Count of Monte Cristo’, like a true account of a real life Edmond Dantes, which book serves as points of reference made by the original and new characters in the ongoing saga.
That may be one of the reasons the sequel's author calls himself, 'The Holy Ghost Writer.' (The HGW)
While new characters are introduced in the second chapter, the first new significant character introduced comes in the 8th chapter in the person of Raymee.
She is introduced similarly as Vampa was introduced early in the Count of Monte Cristo, but plays a more significant role.
We recommend first reading the Count of Monte Cristo to completely understand the references and characters developed, however, the sequel can be enjoyed without a familiarity with the original work.
The Count of Monte Cristo is one of history's best known stories, but only reading or re-familiarizing oneself with the original text or a good translation thereof will bring about the best result to understanding its sequel.
Countless readers over many generations have found the drama of a man unnecessarily imprisoned to emerge unrecognized, only to stealthily take revenge, is a compelling and relevant story in each age. Knowledge of a hidden treasure, provided by the elderly, long-bearded prisoner to the Count of Monte Cristo makes the original a story for children, however the Sultan of Monte Cristo is a little too risqué for a very young audience, and is recommended for those at least 18 years of age.
Based on a true story, it's made that much more compelling in this age when one considers that 65,000,000 Americans, according to a recent article in US Today, have already been convicted of crimes. One can easily imagine that some percentage of those were innocent and suffered equally as did Edmond Dantes while experiencing their own thoughts and plans of revenge.
In the sequels to follow, Edmond Dantes, deeply repentant for the unintended consequences of his revenge in the original story, will realize as the poet Milton observed, revenge though sweet at first will err long recoil on its victor.
Our readers may speculate that The HGW qualifies as a true successor to Dumas, yet concomitantly, and it may be inferred that he is an individual that has emerged from prison as a type of adventurous character in his own life, perhaps wishing to conceal his true identity by writing under the ghostly pen name. The true identity of the HGW will become known once he interacts under his real name with fictitious characters in one of the final books leading up to book ten. The publisher will give a prize to the first person that can discover from the clues that will be planted throughout the ten books as to his true identity. To submit your guess, email montecristoprize@hotmail.com
Since the Count of Monte Cristo saw himself as divine providence we speculate that the word 'holy' in the Ghost Writer name was inspired by this fact, yet there are some unexpected twists in this sequel that may also contribute to the name.
Although those and other plot shifts come unexpectedly in this sequel, they fit seamlessly and grow out of some small seeds planted in the original story that never took root therein. One of those small seeds is the word 'hemp' found in the first chapters of the original story by Dumas.

2012: Political Self-Righteousness, A Time for Self-Reflection - KBOD
2012: Political Self-Righteousness, A Time for Self-Reflection by Frank Coyle
$2.99 (7/18/2012)
This book defines the independent voters’ view on over fifty issues. Then, it puts all the issues in perspective of the overall problem facing America – the lack of leadership.
This book is a quick read. It will bring you up to speed on all the issues of this campaign season. It examines the issues from various vantage points and includes some great out-of-the-box ideas. It also makes our economic conundrum easy to understand. It even offers common-sense solutions to our economic woes. Of course, the solutions require leadership to bring them to life. But, at least this book shows that we can fix our problems.
The message most Americans are hearing is: class warfare versus trickle down and more versus less regulation. In other terms: big versus small government. This is NOT what this campaign SHOULD be about. Neither camp is talking about what this campaign should be about. Maybe they do not get it, or maybe they do not believe enough in themselves to take it on.
We are in a death spiral of political gridlock. Washington is not able to practice the art of politics (which is compromise) because of ideological self-righteousness.
This book uncovers the real issue facing America - the lack of leadership and the political sport that has caused Americans to despise the "other side" - and even despise other Americans that support the other side.
Finally, this book shines the light of the American ideals. It also shines the light on our bright future and how we will get there! It is chock full of insights and out-of-the-box solutions. It should be a must read for our next president! It will definitely make the campaign spin-machines realize that they are out of touch with we independent voters.

The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern - KBOD
$9.99 (7/16/2012)
The circus arrives without warning. No announcements precede it. It is simply there, when yesterday it was not. Within the black-and-white striped canvas tents is an utterly unique experience full of breathtaking amazements. It is called Le Cirque des Rêves, and it is only open at night.
But behind the scenes, a fierce competition is underway—a duel between two young magicians, Celia and Marco, who have been trained since childhood expressly for this purpose by their mercurial instructors. Unbeknownst to them, this is a game in which only one can be left standing, and the circus is but the stage for a remarkable battle of imagination and will. Despite themselves, however, Celia and Marco tumble headfirst into love—a deep, magical love that makes the lights flicker and the room grow warm whenever they so much as brush hands.
True love or not, the game must play out, and the fates of everyone involved, from the cast of extraordinary circus performers to the patrons, hang in the balance, suspended as precariously as the daring acrobats overhead.
Written in rich, seductive prose, this spell-casting novel is a feast for the senses and the heart.

Are you ready to experience the things that go bump in the night? Are you ready for a book that truly submerses you in a world of horror? Then say your prayers and get ready to scream because Unrelenting Terror will have you on the edge of your seat, begging for more, but afraid to the turn the page.
What you've heard isn't an urban legend...
There is a rumor that you may have heard, if you've listened hard and paid attention to reality. It's that there is a book that causes the person that reads it to be plagued by ghosts, spirits and possibly other, less savory, things.
That this book is haunted.
It's true.
Before you buy this, remember to ask yourself if you're truly ready to experience the darkest things imaginable, because once you start reading, you will. Once you take that step there is no going back, no matter how much you wish it to be so. Please consider your actions carefully and commit to this when you're ready, because some things should never be taken lightly. There is risk to starting this, but it doesn't out weight the rewards. Not if you're strong enough to face the truth.
There are things in the dark... waiting for you.
About the story:
This is a tale about a person very like yourself, who has lost the only person they've ever loved and seeks the power to get them back.
But there is a price for doing some things, and it must be paid in full. Always.
Special note from the author:
This book is literally meant to cause you to experience a haunting. Don't say you weren't warned later. Thing will happen to you, and it's your own choice.

Unmasked: The True Life Story of the World's Most Prolific Cinematic Killer
by Kane Hodder and Michael Aloisi
$9.99 (7/13/2012)
"When I saw my arm, I almost passed out. Trembling, I noticed my hands were just as bad. Ignoring how everything looked, I lifted my left hand and touched my right arm. As my fingers touched the black flesh, it peeled off, just like the burnt crust on a toasted marshmallow. A large sloppy chunk slid off my bicep and fell. I watched my skin, the skin that was so tan and taut just a few minutes ago, fall into the mud."
-The true story of the burn injury that almost killed Kane, from Unmasked.
Kane Hodder. To fans, this name is synonymous with horror, an icon on the level of Bela Legosi, Boris Karloff and Vincent Price. Kane has appeared as a stunt man and actor in more than two hundred television shows and movies in a career spanning over thirty years. His role as Jason Voorhees in four consecutive films of the Friday the 13th series came to define the character feared by millions of fans the world over. The man behind the hockey mask would seal his fate as horror royalty years later by starring as the monster Victor Crowley in the Hatchet series.
Unmasked documents the unlikely true story of a boy who was taunted and beaten relentlessly by bullies throughout his childhood. Kane only escaped his tormentors when he moved to a tiny island in the South Pacific where he lived for all of his teen years. After living shirtless in a jungle for a while, he headed back to America where he fell in love with doing stunts… only to have his love burn him, literally. For the first time ever, Kane tells the true story of the horrific burn injury that nearly killed him at the start of his career. The entire heart wrenching, inspirational story of his recovery, the emotional and physical damage it caused and his fight to break back into the industry that almost killed him… and triumphant rise to become a film legend are told in Kane’s own powerful voice.
Take a peek inside the head of the man behind the mask. Be inspired by his triumphant comeback and laugh at his onset hijinks as you unmask the world’s most prolific, cinematic killer.

GameCircle Creates a New Experience for Kindle Fire Users
Amazon is trying to take the Kindle Fire from an e-reader with some nice features to the full functionality of a tablet computer. The next step in this mission was improving the gaming capabilities. On July 11, Amazon announced the creation of GameCircle, an option for improved game play similar to Apple's Game Center or even the Kongregate website for PC applications.
The move is designed to add social gaming similar to Facebook games to the Kindle Fire experience. Amazon hopes to attract gamers with features that are unique to the Kindle Fire and Amazon. One of the most touted features is Sync which allows users to play their game on any Kindle Fire and retrieve it from the Cloud. Then players can go forward from the previous save spot on any device.
With the announcement of GameCircle, Amazon also introduced the first games to make use of the new system, including Temple Run and Triple Town, according to a report by the Wall Street Journal's MarketWatch. Developers hope the new game options for the Kindle Fire will make it more friendly to casual gamers, including those who are used to gaming on smartphones and other tablets.
For the gamer, the new GameCircle applications offer the option to store data, chat with other players and earn in game achievements ala the achievements found in most video game platforms. Trophies, badges and awards for in-game achievements will be accessible by simply pausing the game, as will checking the leaderboard. Players will be able to compete against friends and other Kindle Fire users with the same ease that other social networks have offered.
The new GameCircle system also rolls out a set of APIs designed to help game designers make their new products more easily transferable to the Kindle Fire format. The APIs allow developers to port their games over to the Kindle Fire and provide greater gaming access to fans.
Several game development companies lauded the move as a boon for gamers, especially with the ability to store saved games in the Amazon Cloud. They argued most gamers would like the ability to pick up a game virtually anywhere.
