The Beautiful Ones by Anika Malone
About the Book
It’s the eve of their graduation, and best friends Jackie, Renee, and Chan are planning to have one last memorable summer before parting ways.
Book and street smart Jackie is the one that Renee and Chan look to as their moral compass. Jackie’s first love Donald already has plans for after high school that doesn’t include her. In her effort to protect her heart Jackie pushes Donald away. Jackie’s belief in Donald’s unwavering love for her causes her to behave recklessly. Will Jackie’s betrayal finally push Donald out of her life forever?
Brassy Chan always dressed in name brands from head to toe. Some would consider her a brand name whore, and she accepted that title with pride. Quick to smile at you and say, “But don’t I look good?” This fiery five-foot-three diva could manipulate any man that she wanted to. She had no loyalty to any man; she was loyal to the dollar bill. The only thing that she put above that was her friendship with Jackie, and Renee. Chan was a good person to have on your side; she was a ride or die chick. But if you crossed her she would slice your throat, and lick the knife. Within that pint-sized body came out the most offensive and brass observations. With no regrets or apologies she put the three of them in jeopardy all the time. Will Chan talk herself into something that she can’t get them out of?
Renee was one of the most beautiful girls in the neighborhood. But her low self-esteem had her settling for bottom feeders such as her abusive boyfriend Alex. Growing up with a drug addicted mother; Renee practically raised herself. She wasn’t the strongest of the three, but she was a survivor. Tragically, she displays some of her mother’s addictive tendencies.
The events that occur in this summer will push their friendship to the brink. Can these three young ladies survive the drama, secrets, betrayal, vengeance, and tragedy that are headed straight towards them?

Sisters of the Seventh Planet by Teri Hoskins
$3.99
About the Book
Shriya and Gwenneth are sisters from an ancient civilization that
has practiced the sacred work of healing and other mystical abilities
for many generations. They live deep in the woods, where they are
free to practice their abilities without the priest being aware.
As a member of the sacred work, Shriya is given a focus wand on
her thirteenth birthday. The wand is a tool to help her maintain
a stream of concentration to develop her inner sight. The priest
believes the wands are magic. He doesn’t understand it’s the power
of the divine that lives in each person that empowers the wand.
Because of the priest’s fears, the wands are outlawed and punishable
by death.
On her sixteen birthday, Shriya is given a crystal ball so she can
see into the future. Gwenneth also surprises her with an arranged
marriage. Gwenneth is insistent that the bloodlines remain pure, so
the sacred work can continue for the good of mankind. Shriya is in
love with Parkin, who is a tribesman and not a man of the sacred
work. As Shriya looks into her crystal ball for guidance about the
future, she is torn between following what her sister believes to be
her soul’s destiny and marrying the man of her dreams.

Passive Income Series by Steve Pavlina Review
Genre: Self-Help/Business
Pages: 153
Price: $0.99
Rating: 5 out of 5 stars
As a freelance writer and independent author, I've had my fair share of experience with passive income. However, I've always made most of my money from active income sources. Whether it was articles I submitted for a one-time payment or gigs I completed through Fiverr, they were mostly one-time payments.
My first experience with passive income came when one of the content sites I wrote for started offering page view bonuses. While I was certainly happy to receive that monthly bonus payment (and still am), I remained focused on the active income. To me, it was easier to do the work and get paid. Passive income was a scary concept that left me worrying about the concept of failure. What if I spent hours, weeks, even months creating something that didn't earn any income. It was horrifying to contemplate.
In September 2012, I published my first short story and then I published another in February of this year. By no means have they been bestsellers, but both have been featured on Top 100 lists on Amazon when I've run free promotions. The point was that I got my feet wet with the process of writing, formatting, and publishing ebooks.
When I was asked to review Passive Income Series by Steve Pavlina, I was interested in the concept of the book and quickly found myself being motivated and inspired to fully embrace passive income. I immediately began work on a new non-fiction book. I had actually started my project before I got to the step-by-step action plan, but I feel that's because I was familiar with ebooks.
I highly recommend this book. Steve Pavlina makes passive income easy to understand and eliminates many of the fears that some people have. If you're ready to earn income, regardless if you're working or not, read this book!

An absolutely awesome book that I highly recommend. If you loved Harry Potter, you're going to love Nina Beana.
Nick-named Nina Beana, twelve-year-old Jalina B. Jons is about to have the worst day of her life. She's never lived a day away from her home, slept on the floor, eaten gruel, or questioned her survival until she and her brother Jake are told that their wealthy, treasure hunting parents are dead and they are sent to a notorious, workhouse orphanage...Owenroake. Chased by gigantic spiders under Timbroke Hall, threatened by bullies, and snubbed by the Synderputt snobs, Nina plots to escape. Little does she know that her life is about to change forever because Owenroake is no ordinary orphanage. Magic, enchanted kingdoms surround Owenroake and the orphans discover a new world of hope, friends and powers. But as the magical barrier is illegally breached, weird things begin to happen and orphans disappear. Nina organizes a rescue team and embarks on a journey that leads to the brink of disaster. Thwarted by a villainous sorcerer who dispatches an evil entourage of gnarly ghouls, vampire bats, elves, and fairies, the orphans fight for their lives and to bring home a massive treasure. The Fruits of the Spirit: Living a Life Connected by Gary Anderson
$0.99
The Fruits of the Spirit – Living a Connected Life, is a study on what it really means to walk with Jesus and experience His life-changing presence. His promise to us was that He would never leave us and that He would actually take up residence within us. We must live in the power of that reality if we are to be “salt and light” to our world!
Is God’s character and nature being expressed in your life? Do you think of the “Fruit of the Spirit” as unattainable qualities or traits? What does living an “authentic” Christian life mean to you? These are but some of the questions explored!
Living in love, joy, and peace is the birthright of every believer! So too are all the Fruits of God’s Spirit – they are the expression of the nature of Jesus in us! It is my great hope that many will enjoy this book and be refreshed by the simplicity and beauty of the “Good News”, while embracing the simple action-steps we can take that keep us centered in Him!

The script has flipped. With such highly active,
independent, impatient, creative, intelligent and demanding minds
filling today's classroom s, it is now the teachers who are, in a sense,
at risk of being left in the academic dust. Gone are the days when
teachers could educate and command respect by ruling with an iron fist.
"Motivation via intimidation" no longer works. With Generation Next, we
have reached the Age of empowerment. These individuals seek coaches and
mentors, not autocrats. Thus, educators who continue to cling tightly to
traditional teaching tactics, theories and philosophies will fail.

Easy Bake Coven by Liz Schulte Review
Author: Liz Schulte
Genre: Urban Fantasy
Pages: 351
Price: $3.99
Selene Warren dipped her toes in magic, but she wasn't casting spells like a full-time witch. In fact, she'd suppressed her powers for most of her life because that's what her grandma taught her to do. But when a strange man appears in her life, telling her grandmother that she's really a witch turns out to be the least of her worries. Soon Selene finds herself in a new world and she discovers that witches aren't the only fairy tale creatures that are real.
Let me start off by saying that urban fantasies are my favorite genre. The story lines of paranormal beings living in today's modern world are fun and entertaining and Easy Bake Coven is no different.
I was drawn to the book because of the title (I mean, how cute is Easy Bake Coven), but kept reading because the characters were well-developed and the story flowed so well. You certainly don't have to struggle to finish this little gem. If you love H.P. Mallory, you're going to love Liz Schutle.

Feminist Revenge by Linda Corby Review
Title: Feminist Revenge
Author: Linda Corby
Genre: Erotica
Pages: 188
Price: $7.10
Zaneen was good at what she did and who she did. Her assassinations were clean and her love-making was down and dirty, which she was both feared and coveted for her abilities. While she meets men that she has incredible sex with, she only dreams of the man she lost. Will she ever learn to love another or will she stay too busy in this action-filled novel?
Feminist Revenge is an action-based novel that women can enjoy. With a strong female lead and enjoyable sex scenes, this is an erotic novel that pleases both your sexual appetite as well as your need for a strong plot line. The only fault I found with this book is that it needs to be edited. Other than that, it's an enjoyable read.

The Night Sweeper by J. Steven Butler Review
Title: The Night Sweeper
Author: J. Steven Butler
Genre: Science Fiction
Pages: 183

Rating: 5 out 5 stars
Cray had been a sweeper since the age of 19, someone who rids the city of zombies so that people can live as normal a life as possible. When asked to make a rescue mission of someone who may have cooked up another virus that could bring another way of zombies into the new world, Cray jumps at the chance, even though it means pairing up with a beautiful girl named Mira. It was a mission that was supposed to be easy, but nothing is ever as easy as it seems.
I loved this book because it was a post zombie apocalyptic novel that both men and women could enjoy. It's packed full of action that keeps you turning to pages to see what will happen to the unlikely couple. The story is alternated back and forth from the perspectives of Cray and Mira, giving readers a more complete picture of what's really happening. And, just when you think the bumpy ride has come to an end, you're left with a cliffhanger ending that leaves you wanting more.
Do note that this book is less about zombies and more about rebuilding the world after a zombie outbreak. With that said, I still think this was an excellent book and recommend it to anyone that loves high speed action survival novels.

Book Description:
Jonas Stone has been given
his first independent operation: rescue the insurrection leader’s
imprisoned grandson from the Mission. Getting the job done means more
than getting Danny Granger out-it means staying with him while he
heals. Staying too close, for way too long.
Danny is everything Jonas
isn’t: confident, optimistic, honest--a man to be reckoned with. If
only it didn’t mean going against everything Jonas has planned.
He’s kept his secrets for years, hid behind a mask no one could see
through...until now. Danny isn’t the kind of man Jonas deserves.
But he might be exactly the man he needs...
About
the Author:
Born from the genetic
mash-up of lesser royalty, storytellers, wanderers and dreamers,
KARINA COOPER was destined to be a creative genius. As a child, she
moved all over the country like some kind of waifish blonde gypsy and
thrived in the new cultures her family settled in. When she (finally)
grew up, she skipped the whole genius part and fell in love with
writing because, really, who doesn’t love making things up for a
living?
One part romance fanatic,
one part total dork, and all imagination, she writes dark and sexy
paranormal romance and urban fantasy. When she isn’t writing,
Karina is an airship captain’s wife and Steampunk fashionista. She
lives in the beautiful and rainy Pacific Northwest with a husband,
four cats, two rabbits, the fantasy of a dog, and a passel of adopted
gamer geeks.

Audie the Angel and the Angel Army Review
Author: Erika Kathryn
Genre: Young Adult
Pages: 227
Price: $4.99 or FREE for Prime Members
She was beautiful, amazingly so, but she wasn't the average 12 year old girl. She was much more, more than Cave could have ever imagined, which only made her more intriguing. Cave was asked to recount her story in the Angel Archives so that everyone may read of their adventures.
Audie the Angel and the Angel Army by Erika Kathryn is a fantastic read for tweens and young adults. Both unique and well-written, the story flows easily and presents angels and heaven as its never be seen before. The first of a three-part series, readers will be left anxiously waiting for the next book in the series, which comes out in May 2013.

Nothing but Trouble by Cathy Quinn
Scientist Robert thinks Linda is nothing but trouble. Blonde, beautiful and witty, she is everything he isn't -- and she keeps flirting with him. Chaos ensues, involving chimpanzees in love, quadruplets and a counterfeit mouse.
“Bob, I need your help. It’s an emergency!”
Robert slowly straightened up from the microscope and slid his hands in his jeans pockets, pushing the long lab coat out of the way. His back was to her, but he would recognize that voice anywhere.
The blonde whirlwind was back. And she still hadn’t learned how to knock on doors. She still didn’t know what “Authorized access only” meant.
And for some reason, he noticed as he turned towards her in resignation, she was taking the trouble to lock the door carefully behind her.
Lipstick and Lies by Debbie Viggiano
41-year old Cassandra Mackerel is loved up and happily re-married to new husband Jamie. Together they have a ready-made family and a six month old baby boy. Juggling her own children with step-children and an infant is both hectic and stressful, especially with a mother-in-law who seems to have taken up permanent residence.
Cass has a strong support system in good friend and new mum Morag – who is the fourth Mrs Harding with more step-children she can keep up with – and also old neighbour and great pal Nell who has a baby girl.
Rising to the challenge of a second marriage and the emotional baggage that comes with it is tough. The last thing Cass needs is the reappearance of husband Jamie’s ex-girlfriend Selina. Gorgeous and glamorous but utterly unstable, Selina once stalked Cass and contrived to split her and Jamie up. And now Selina is engaged to Jamie’s business partner, Ethan Fareham. Seemingly it is appalling coincidence.
Cass can’t shake the feeling that Selina is up to her old tricks. And she's right to be worried. For if Selina has her way, she’ll split Cass and Jamie up permanently. Because this time it’s murder...
The Not So Secret Emails Of Coco Pinchard by Robert Bryndza
Coco Pinchard was never a single thirty-something. She married young, had a son, and put her dream to be a writer on hold. Now her first novel is published. Husband Daniel has greyed nicely into a silver fox, and son Rosencrantz is grown up. It should be time to enjoy life.
That is until the annual family Christmas when her hideous mother-in-law Ethel comes to stay, and Coco opens her gift from Daniel. It's not the jewellery she chose, but an iPhone. This marks the start of Daniel's mid-life crisis and she catches him in bed with a younger woman.
The iPhone becomes a confessional of sorts, through emails to her friends Chris, an ageing trustafarian and Marika a slightly alcoholic schoolteacher. Coco documents her seemingly endless (and often entertaining!) run of bad luck.
Then she meets the hunky Adam and she's back in the world of dating as a single forty-something...
Read the emails that tell the hilarious tale of Coco picking up the pieces, in this fun, feel good Romantic Comedy.

Humans
give Rachael and Bernard friendly smiles as they walk down the
hallway of the fourth floor. Whether the smiles were out of
nervousness or genuine, it didn’t matter; it was nice to see
something other than hatred for a change.
Bernard
glances at Rachael’s emotionless face. “Are you ok?”
“Why
wouldn’t I be?”
Bernard
ends the conversation there. He wasn’t one to pick and pull for
information; if she wouldn’t open up to him it made his job that
much easier. He really could care less about how anybody felt. He
equips his handgun as they reach room 403; the door lies across the
hall, a sure sign of forced entry.
Typhus
catches sight of the gun being pointed at him. Rachael places her
hand on Bernard’s forearm to lower his weapon. “Just let me talk
to him first.”
“We
have nothing to talk about,” Typhus snaps.
Bernard
pulls back on his gun, cocking it. “You heard him.” One look from
Rachael’s determined eyes stops him from escalating the situation
further. Typhus backs away ready for any tricks Rachael may try.
“I
understand that you’re still upset over how things turned out.”
Rachael places her gun on the ground. “But what you’re doing
isn’t going to change anything.”
“You
think I’m upset
after what these humans did? I’m infuriated!”
“Well
you’re not the only one who lost your parents, but you don’t see
any of us going on a rampage.”
Typhus
laughs at her statement. “I’m not a fool like you.”
Bernard
reaches to tear the wire net off of Ace. “I wouldn’t do that.”
Ace nods his head forward in the direction of Deadeye. It doesn’t
take long for Bernard to spot the barrel of a gun pointed right at
him. Deadeye is just waiting for one wrong move.
Ace
wiggles a little bit to get some breathing room. “I’ll just make
this easy for you two since I have a bad business partner. The virus
is in the nightstand.”
The
hatred Typhus feels at the moment for Ace is uncontainable. He lets
out a deep growl. The virus had been in such a simple location and
even though Tech ravaged the entire room he had failed to pull out
the drawer on the end table. Tech makes a run for the drawer at the
same time as Bernard. As Tech leaps off the bed Bernard grabs him by
the neck and flings the slinky alien into the wall. Tech’s face
slides down the wall with his body.
Bernard
pulls the drawer out; inside lies what they all want. The virus. He
immediately grabs it. “Let’s go.” Rachael extends her hand and
uses a telekinetic grip to pull the wire off of Ace. She then
projects the net at Typhus, but with his razor sharp claws he slices
through it and wraps his claw around her neck. She gasps for a breath
as he lifts her off the ground.
Deadeye
seizes the moment to do what he’s been waiting on–kill.
He removes the wire burst cartridge and loads in live ammunition.
With
the crosshairs on Bernard he pulls the trigger. The bolt slides back
on the rifle the second the bullet leaves the chamber.
Reality Boulevard by Melissa Jo Peltier
$4.99
Are you looking for a book that has romance, satire, and an interesting behind-the-scenes look at reality TV? Then you're going to love this book.
New York Times bestseller Melissa Jo Peltier turns her attention to the brilliant, back-stabbing world of prime-time television in this wickedly funny new novel. Peltier has worked in entertainment for more than 20 years, making the darkly funny Reality Boulevard a true insider’s view of Hollywood and some of America’s biggest shows. In it, we see Oscar-winning producer Marty Maltzman and his staff out of a job – and out on the streets – when long-running docu-series Lights and Sirens is unexpectedly axed. But the Hollywood the team now faces is full of Kardashiansand Real Housewives, and they need to survive in a world where it’s very hard to tell what’s true and what isn’t – both on and off screen. Oscar and Emmy winning documentarian and veteran reality producer (Big Brother, Rescue 911) Arnold Shapiro called the novel “the best satirical look behind the scenes of reality television ever written”, adding: “It contains more truth than you would believe.” Todd Milliner, producer of Grimm and Hot in Cleveland, said: “During her 20-plus years in the business, Melissa Jo Peltier had a front-row seat, watching it all unfold. In this novel, she puts her dry wit and storytelling ability to good use, pulling back the curtain to reveal what really goes on. Entertainment writer Reel Life with Jane says: ” Her characterizations and descriptions, in particular, are original and visceral, and the book is simply a fun and engaging read.”

The Blue by Scott Kelly
$2.99 or FREE for Prime Members
Derek may or may not deserve to be stalked by an unhinged ex-marine - he's not sure. He did kill the man's entire family in a car accident, and he may have been drinking, though thanks to the resulting coma he can't remember much about that day. And that's okay, because Derek is learning all about it from the district attorney as he explains to the jury why the young painter should go to prison.
Prison isn't right now, though - it isn't breaking into his home, stabbing him, or kidnapping him at gunpoint. And managing his stalker would be much easier if Derek could see him coming. But, he's incapable of recognizing the man tormenting him, or anyone else. Can't even recognize his own face in the mirror. Since Derek woke up from his coma, he's been face blind: a rare condition that renders him unable to identify people by their appearances.
Anyone in Derek’s world of strangers could be his stalker. In this mind-bending thriller, the talented painter is pushed to a tipping point as his reality unravels at the hands of a madman. On its surface, The Blue is a gritty suspense novel about a man's quest for redemption. Dig deeper and it asks questions about the nature of guilt, innocence, reality and revenge.

What's a Witch to Do by Jennifer Harlow Review
Title: What's a Witch to Do
Author: Jennifer Harlow
Genre: Paranormal Mystery
Pages: 338
Price: $8.50
She's a witch on a mission, actually several missions. With her handy to-do list in hand, Mona McGregor can accomplish anything, but can she stop those that wish to do her harm? Those that could be members from her own coven and even her own family?
What's a Witch to Do is the type of book I love to read. As an author myself, it's also a great inspiration. What I really enjoyed about this book was the setting and characters. Growing up in the South, the characters were a lot like the people I knew in my hometown. Also, I'm the type that could a make to-do list to make to-do lists, so I definitely connected with Mona.
I recommend this book to anyone that enjoys the paranormal, witches, and a good mystery.

He likes it. Now get him to put a ring on it! Learn from these 50 stories of women who have been there! You don't have to interview 50 married women to find out how they managed to get that ring on their finger. The author has done that for you. LIMITED TIME OFFER: Please see the end of the Kindle version to learn how to claim a free paperback copy after you post an honest review! Limited to the first 25 reviewers. (226 pages in paperback.)
Many of the men in the stories say dismissive things about marriage and make excuses for not committing to their women, such as: "If it ain't broke, don't fix it," and, "Marriage is just a piece of paper."
Many of the women compare marriage to a fairytale where everyone lives happily ever after.
I understand both sides.
Like many of the reluctant grooms in these stories, I come from a broken home. When I was 9 and my sister was 5, our parents yelled at each other across the house constantly. They never physically hurt each other, but they did do damage. Once, Dad was so angry at Mom that he stormed into our playroom and kicked our toys around, breaking both of our favorite toy figurines: my sister's horse named Hacksaw and my cat named Murina. Right then and there, I promised God and myself that I would never subject my own children to their parents' unjust anger. Less than a year later, my parents were divorced.
Sadly, the way I kept that promise was to never have any children. Too late, I realized that was a mistake, and I regret it to this day.
Like many of the yearning brides in these stories, as a young girl I loved fairy tales, weddings, and fancy dresses. I didn't connect these three things until I collected these stories. In her fantasies, every little girl is a fairytale princess, someone who wears fancy dresses and dances with a charming and attentive prince. Like most brides and grooms, Scott and I danced together at our wedding dressed as Prince Charming and his princess. My parents put aside their differences and danced together there, too. It was like magic.

Jack Canon's American Destiny by Greg Sandora Review
Author: Greg Sandora
Genre: Political
Pages: 314
Price: $9.99
I'll be the first to admit that I'm not the type to read political novels, but I was surprised by Jack Canon's American Destiny. The book was so well written that I couldn't help but keeping reading. Reading about Jack Canon's adventure to become president was more entertaining that I ever would have expected. The characters were believable and likeable and the situations seemed realistic. I'm not the type to follow politics, so I'm not sure what goes on in a campaign, but Greg Sandora made the entire novel feel genuine.
If you enjoy political novels, pick up Jack Canon's American Destiny. It's an interesting read that will give you a first-hand look at what it takes for someone to work his way up the political ladder. Even if you don't follow politics, there's a good chance you'll enjoy this read.

I'll admit that the only reason I decided to read Til the World Ends is because I was such a huge fan of Julie Kagawa's The Immortal Rules novel from the Blood of Eden series.
Julie Kagawa didn't disappoint in her story called Dawn of Eden. It gave a wonderful background story to her series and so much more. I really hated for the story to end.
This was an excellent read though I wouldn't say it was appropriate for teens like the Blood of Eden series. There are sex scenes that make this prequel more adult in nature.

The Night Horses by Anaka Jones Review
Author: Anaka Jones
Genre: Children
Pages: 28
Price: $11.99
Rating: 5 out of 5 stars
Facebook Link: The Night Horses
While this book isn't available for the Kindle, I wanted to share it with those that have children. The Night Horses by Anaka Jones is a delightful tale about how horses are mild-mannered during the day, but like to party down at night. This book would be an excellent addition to the bookshelf for those with children under the age of six. Not only is it a fun story, but the artwork is beautiful. Each page is beautifully designed with full-page graphics that children are sure to find fascinating as they follow along with the story.
This is a book I would have loved as a child and I feel that many other children will enjoy it as well. If your child has a love of horses, this book will become a favorite that you'll find yourself reading to the child several times a week.
Another thing I enjoyed about this book is that the wording is simple enough that it's a great book for those teaching their children how to read. None of the words are too large or too complicated for children to pronounce or understand.
If you want to enjoy the last few days of winter with your children, this is a great book for the family to gather around and take turns reading.
About the Author
Currently attending the sixth grade at school, Anaka Jones lives in Ann Arbor, Michigan with her family, two dogs (Kona and Bella), a lizard and a frog. Anaka hopes to be a Marine Biologist/Veterinarian one day. She loves swimming, learning to scuba dive, playing soccer and reading books. Her favourite animals include dolphins and whales. She also loves sharks!
Missing Barbados by Willem Pain
Missing Barbados by Willem Pain
$2.99
Willem Pain is doing what he does best: creating a mystery that is as much fun as you can have with your clothes on! A straight forward missing person case on the exotic island of Barbados turns out to be anything but straight forward -- with more surprising twists and turns than a snake on crack.
Mystery, Adventure and Humor on Every Page:
Open the “Look Inside” now, where you’ll fall for Susan “Ice” Berg, the “shoot first” owner of the Caribbean Detective Agency, as she finds herself in another awkward situation with her soon to be ex-boyfriend. She is temporarily saved from facing her humiliation by taking on the case of a beautiful missing teenager of British royalty in Barbados.
With no one else available, Susan reluctantly hires her raucous detective employee, Richard “Dutch” Holland, to assist in the case. Dutch is the Vietnam Vet that every man wants to be and every woman wants to be with. He is a tough, free spirit who rubs Susan, as well as most of his acquaintances, the wrong way. Susan doesn’t quite appreciate Dutch’s gung-ho style, so together they are like oil and water, making unraveling the disappearance of the missing teenage royal even more of a challenge as well as an adventure.
Based on an actual event from Barbados history, our woman sleuth and hard-boiled detective take us through the past and present of Barbados where nothing is as it seems. While trying to find the missing girl, Dutch and Susan are hired to find a golden sword, a real relic of history, the actual historical record transcribed in the preface of this book. Entwined within the history of the golden sword and its place in royalty, together they must overcome villains and their own feelings toward each other to right a centuries old wrong and solve the crime.
The colorful characters we meet along the way each bring their own quirks to the story: from Crane Luk, Dutch’s friend from Viet Nam and current sidekick, to Vicky Godown, Dutch’s larger than life girlfriend.
With laughs on every page, the suspense builds as Susan and Dutch confront a potential kidnapping, murder, and more. The action and adventure culminates with the detectives having to make a moral choice, one that results in a surprise bitter-sweet ending for all involved.
If you like historical fiction, or are just considering a Barbados vacation, Missing Barbados is a perfect read while providing a suspenseful action adventure led by a funny female detective and her trusty companions.
So sit back and enjoy the easy and breezy read, full of characters that you will never forget and forever enjoy. Save your money and avoid the jet lag; spend a fun filled holiday with the Caribbean Detective Company. You won’t even miss that sticky sun tan lotion or the sand in your bathing suit!

Cowboy Sing Me Home by Kim Hunt Harris Review
Title: Cowboy Sing Me Home
Author: Kim Hunt Harris
Genre: Romance
Pages: 322
Price: $2.99 or FREE for Prime Members
Luke Tanner was a simple man with simple tastes so imagine his surprise when he finds himself falling for a high maintenance woman.
Dusty Rhodes is a high maintenance woman whose seen more cowboys than she cares to count. Cowboys are a dime a dozen, but Luke Tanner does have a nice butt that looks awfully good in blue jeans.
Can these two find common ground in a small town during a big festival that is meant to inspire hope? Will more than rain fall in the small Southern town as the heat levels begin to rise between the two?
I recently had a chance to beta read a manuscript by Kim Hunt Harris and was incredibly impressed. This is an indie author that has great talent. I was pleased to have a chance to review Cowboy Sing Me Home, which was just as well written, though the genre was different. In other words, this is a prolific author that readers of chick lit cannot afford to miss. If you haven't read Kim's work, visit her page on Amazon and download this gem for the weekend. It's filled with comedy, romance, and just enough steam to make this a delightful romance.
