A large Christmas gathering and the town's most important cookie contest are back-to-back on Angie's calendar, but she's got everything down to a science and knows she can pull it off without a hitch. The only thing she wasn't expecting was the biggest snow storm in over a century to hit and strand everyone in her home. With her eldest daughter missing in the blizzard, can Angie hold it together long enough to pull her family back together? And, what about that cookie contest she's worked so hard on?

Review:

I was immediately drawn to Merry Hell by Dennis Timothy because it reminded me of Skipping Christmas by John Grisham (one of my favorite Christmas books). After reading so many fantasy and paranormal romance books it was nice to read something "real" for a change. The author not only does a fantastic job of bringing the characters to life, but he also does a wonderful job at creating female characters.

Merry Hell by Dennis Timothy was the same caliber of novel as Skipping Christmas by John Grisham. I was blown away by this wonderful story and can't wait to read it again at the holidays. If you love Christmas, and want to read about a Christmas that isn't sugar-coated, you must read this book!
