Ghost Train by Jeff Breland

Ghost Train by Jeff Breland

Ghost Train is a book that takes readers on a journey through the life of voodooist Marie Laveau. The story and thereby the book is set in the 19th century, which in itself offers a wonderful backdrop and dynamic to the story that is further enhanced by the author’s mastery over story telling techniques. In fact, it uses visual imagery so vividly that readers are bound to be mesmerized instantly. Marie is the eighth great great granddaughter of Marime Philome Glapion, who belongs to a noble bloodline. Thus it takes one into the world of nobles, which has always been fascinating and exciting to say the least. To add to the magic, one finds out that on her eighth birthday, Marie inherits an amulet with mystical powers. Such is the charm of the story line, which has been woven wonderfully by the author to draw readers in.
