We all know the tales of Mother Goose. These were stories we were told time and time again to lull us to sleep or keep us quiet. These are not those tales. These tales have been rewritten so that they appeal to adults. While there are still meaningful messages in each story, the messages have been altered to be meaningful in our adult years.
What I loved most about this book was the uniqueness. I love when authors give classic stories a spin, especially stories that we have come to know and love. It's like getting an extra glimpse into the story and the characters we think we know so well. With that said, I did feel that a couple of the stories were a bit drawn out. Still, I highly recommend it to anyone that loves fantasy and these wonderful tales from our childhood.
Author was provided a copy of the book in exchange for a review through NetGalley.
