The Red Fox: A Romance by Kim Hunter Review

Title: The Red Fox: A Romance
Author: Kim Hunter
Genre: Romance
Pages: 79
Rating: 4 out 5 stars

Running is the safe answer, but that doesn't mean it's the right answer. Jay has ran from school to school, trying to avoid Him. He knows that his new school will have another Him, they all do, but he plans to avoid Him at all costs. Too bad his plan doesn't work. When he runs into the girl's locker room and spots, The Red Fox, his life at the new school will never be the same.

The Red Fox has a few secrets of her own. Known as the town slut, Leaf has slept with her fair share of men, though not as many as everyone claims. Can she learn to stop living the role that society has placed her in? Maybe the new boy can help her see that she's more than just a pretty face.

Jay and Leaf form a strong relationship based on helping each other rise above the things that are holding them back and in the process find true love.

I really enjoyed this book, while it was a bit strong for YA readers, I still feel it offers a great message to readers of the high school age. It teaches an important lesson of rising above what we think we have to be and being who we want to be.
