I

For the
moment, I’ll ask that you consider that your higher power, aka
intuition, chose this word. It is early in the day, and you have
finished your morning routine of reading a passage from another
source and perhaps exercised. You have now become quietly focused and
requested that the best word for you for today be given to you. Thus,
as you ‘randomly’ opened the book, this was the page you now
have. This has happened in a minute or less.
Unlike
predetermined passages from a daily calendar or book, this word upon
which you’ll focus will be typically unique only to you. In order
to remember it easily throughout the day, there is only one word and
you’ll repeat it 21 times. As you continue to get ready for the
day, ideas about its significance will surface. You’ll remain aware
of it at some level so that when a meaningful opportunity presents
itself, you are ready to apply the meaning at whatever level feels
comfortable.
I can think
of a few different meanings the word ‘safe’ may have. Perhaps all
these surface for a person. Most likely, only one significant meaning
will be prominent today.
a) There is
concern about the safety of self or another. This concern is
affecting your focus and mood. By redirecting your thoughts with the
repetition of ‘safe’, you are more at ease. Also, it is more
likely that by focusing on a positive outcome, a positive outcome
will occur.
b) Deep in
a hidden place of memory, you’ve been aware that an old event still
lurks. You’ve been working with a resolution. Now suddenly your
higher self has presented you with the word ‘safe’ and some of
your confidence in this resolution is increased. Again, when having
this confidence, it is much more likely to reach resolution than when
constantly focusing on the negative.
As you can
see, this daily process is slow and steady. The process and level of
participation is strictly up to you. No one is explaining how to
think about the word or what its meaning might hold for you. At the
end of the day, you will be able to take a moment to reflect on how
you were ultimately empowered by the word choice and what it has
meant to be more intimately involved in the day. Tomorrow, there
will be a new word. Or perhaps a recent word choice will be repeated.
Higher power, aka intuition, is asking you to revisit another level
of meaning.
I’ve been
using this method from this one book for fifteen years. I am truly
amazed at the accuracy of each word. At times, I’m very grateful
that I’ve been given the latitude of participation, because,
frankly, I have more or less energy and enthusiasm that day.
Ten of
approximately 120 words from which to choose: mind; spirit; happy;
generous; explorer; hearing; compassionate; effortless; aware; &
thankful.
