Working at a women’s centre, Paula is drawn to those that are victims of domestic abuse. She listens to their stories and learns of two women in particular, one that escapes with her children and the other, who, along with her baby son and three daughters, were murdered by her husband.
The latter ignites a passion in Paula, whose jovial and sangfroid nature, belies the fact that she herself is a victim of domestic violence.
She records her harrowing experiences before deciding to bring to an end years of domestic abuse by leaving her husband. Little did she know that it was a decision that would end in tragedy.
